Somali president to attend African Business Forum in Egypt

MOGADISHU,(HMC)-Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is expected to attend African Business Forum in Egypt after an official invite by the Egypt’s president  Abdel Fatah El-Sisi.

A High level delegation led by President Farmajo will be jetting off on Thursday for Sharma El-Sheikh where the conference is scheduled to take place.

According to sources, the Summit which will run 7th to 9th December would be a platform for introducing further investment projects in the continent.

Egypt’s Investment and International Cooperation Minister, Sahar Nasr said five African heads of State and various high-level dignitaries will attend the Forum which aims bolstering investment and economic ties.

Among other invited leaders are, Rwanda’s Paul Kigame, Alpha Conde of Guinea, Comoros leader, Azali Assoumani, presiden Cote d’Ivoire, Alassana Ouattara and Nigerian vice president, Yemi Osinbajo.

According to sources close to Villa Somalia, the president is expected to hold talks with President El-Sisi on the bilateral relations between the countries.

This is the second trip to Egypt by Somali president since his election as 9th president of Somalia on February 2017.
