Thursday 10,April 2025 {HMC} Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Minister Badr Abdelatty had talks on Wednesday with his Somali counterpart Ahmed Moallim Fiqi.
Abdelatty underlined Egypt’s respect for the integrity of lands of Somalia as well as full support for its national institutions as well as efforts to realize its security and stability.
He stressed the importance of promoting Somalia’s unity in the face of the current security challenges in order to restore security and stability.
He accentuated the importance of enhancing cooperation in the fields of combating terrorism and extremism.
He urged intensifying regional and international efforts to confront terrorist attacks and uproot terrorism.
The two ministers underlined the importance of continued coordination between the two countries in regional and international forums to face joint challenges in the Horn of Africa region.
They underlined the historical and amicable ties between the two countries.
For his part, the Somali minister voiced appreciation for Egypt’s support for Somalia at all levels.
He stressed his country’s keenness on furthering relations with Egypt.
