Friday, 16 May 2025 {HMC} – Ukraine has reported the crash of one of its advanced F-16 fighter jets, manufactured in the United States, following an aviation accident.
Authorities confirmed that the pilot survived the crash, and the incident does not appear to have been caused by a Russian attack.
The aircraft reportedly struck three targets while in the air before it went down.
The pilot’s condition has been described as stable.
This F-16 becomes the first of its kind to crash in Ukraine since the country received the jets from its U.S. allies last year.
