Sunday 13 July 2025 {HMC} The Somali National Army and local community fighters in N50 conducted a security operation in the areas of Ceel-Saliini and Buushka in the Lower Shabelle region.
The operation was based on intelligence indicating that Al-Shabaab militants had regrouped in the area and were preparing terrorist attacks targeting civilians.
Acting on this intelligence, the joint forces launched a targeted offensive against the militants’ hideouts. Following a brief engagement, the forces successfully took control of the area and are currently conducting clearance and security operations to ensure lasting stability and the safety of residents.
