Saturday 23 Aug 2025 {HMC} The government of Somalia has presented the photos of the drugs seized at the Aden Adde airport, containing 48 bags that were intended to be brought into the country, and investigations are underway to find out the individuals and networks involved in the export of these drugs.
The Office of the Attorney General announced that 48 bags of heavy drugs were seized, each containing 52 packages, which is a total of 2,496 packages and six cartons packed with the drug.
These drugs, which are a threat to public safety, were brought down from Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu, and were caught before they left the airport.
The office said that official investigations are underway to find out who is involved in drug importation, and will be brought before the competent court.
