Kampala, 15, Oct 2025 {HMC} The State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, Hon. Ali Mohamed Omar, met on Wednesday in Kampala with Hon.
Kirti Vardhan Singh, India’s State Minister for External Affairs, and discussed with him ways to strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between Somalia and India and explore new areas of cooperation.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th Mid-Term Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), hosted by Uganda under the theme “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence”.
During the discussions, the two ministers focused on expanding collaboration in areas including people-to-people ties, trade, education, and diplomatic engagement.
Somalia and India share a historic partnership based on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared interests across various sectors.
