Somali FM Calls for Strong National Sovereignty at Tangier MEDays Panel.

Tangier, 27, Nov  2025 {HMC} – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, participated on Thursday in a high-level panel discussion during the 17th Edition of the MEDays Forum in Tangier, Morocco.

The panel, titled “Emerging Africa, Winning Africa: Strengthening Sovereignty, Enhancing Governance & Securing Stability,” focused on Africa’s evolving political and economic landscape.

During the session, Minister Abdisalam underscored the importance of national sovereignty in supporting effective governance, economic resilience, and long-term stability.

The MEDays Forum, held from November 26 to 29, is recognized as one of the year’s major platforms for geopolitical and economic dialogue.

Organizers reported record participation in the 2025 edition, with more than 4,500 registered attendees and 450 high-level guests, including heads of state, ministers, and international experts.

More than 450 speakers contributed to a wide range of thematic sessions at the forum, which was held under the theme “Fractures & Polarization:

Reinventing the Global Equation.” The event aimed to provide a space for rethinking international dynamics at a time of rising geopolitical tension and global polarization.
