Mondey 26, Jan 2026 {HMC} The Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), accompanied by the First and Second Deputy Speakers of both Houses of Parliament, held a meeting with the committees tasked with the Constitutional Review process.
During the meeting, the committees formally presented the leadership of both Houses with proposed amendments to Chapters Five through Nine of the Constitution, along with the timetable for deliberations on the proposed changes.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to accelerate the review of the Provisional Constitution, with the aim of adopting a finalized constitution based on consultation, accountability, and inclusive national representation.
