Tuesday, March 24, 2026 {HMC} – The Commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, held an important meeting with the Commander of the United States Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAF), Major General Claude K. Tudor.
The meeting focused on strengthening security cooperation, enhancing and developing the capabilities of the Somali National Army, and accelerating operations against terrorism.
Both sides agreed on the importance of increasing training, exchanging expertise, and providing technical support to boost the army’s capacity in order to achieve lasting security in the country.
They also agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the Somali National Army and international partner forces, particularly in operations against extremist groups.
