Sunday, 30 Nov, 2025 {HMC} Officer in Charge of AUSSOM, Lt. Gen. Sam Kavuma met with Dr Annette Weber, the EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, at the EU Delegation Compound (EUDC) in Mogadishu today.
They discussed the AU–EU partnership in supporting Somali-led security priorities and anti-Al-Shabaab operations, including EU’s assistance through funding, training, and operational enablers. They also explored solutions to address AUSSOM’s funding gap to ensure sustained operational effectiveness.
Lt. Gen. Kavuma thanked European Union in Somalia’s continued support and reaffirmed AUSSOM’s commitment to working closely with international partners to strengthen collaboration towards a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Somalia.
