Mogadishu, 16, Oct 2025, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received at the Presidential Palace the new Members of Parliament who will represent Somalia in the East African Economic Cooperation (EAC) Parliament, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Abdisalam Abdi Ali.
The President commended the national responsibility they have taken, noting the importance of defending Somalia’s interests and vision for regional cooperation. He encouraged them to demonstrate leadership, patriotism and professionalism, so as to effectively serve the interests of the Somali people and strengthen Somalia’s role and voice in the EAC.
