Sunday 13 July 2025 {HMC} Malabo, July 13, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, represented the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Sunday at the Seventh Mid-Year Coordination Meeting (7th MYCM) of the African Union held in Malabo.
The high-level meeting brought together leaders from the African Union, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), Regional Mechanisms, and AU Member States to enhance institutional coordination and align efforts to accelerate the implementation of continental priorities.
Held under the African Union’s 2025 theme, “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations,” the meeting provided a platform for strategic dialogue on justice, unity, and sustainable development across the continent.
The Somali delegation underscored the need for joint responsibility, coordinated action, and sustained political commitment to promote regional integration, peace, and inclusive progress.
Somalia reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with AU institutions and regional partners to advance the goals of Agenda 2063 and to support justice, dignity, and equity for all Africans.
