Khamiis 15 jun 2026 {HMC} Dowladda Imaaraadka Carabta ayaa maanta oo Khamiis ah si rasmi ah u bilaabayso guuritaan dhamaystiran oo ay kaga baxayaan magaalada caasimadda ah ee Muqdisho, kaddib burburkii heshiisyadii milatari iyo amni ee u dhexeeyay Imaaraadka iyo Dowladda Federaalka Soomaaliya.
Ugu yaraan Afar diyaaradood oo ay leedahay dowladda Itoobiya ayaa galinka Hore ee maanta, laga bilaabo 8:00 aroornimo ilaa caawa, ka daadgurayn doona Garoonka Aadan Cadde, kuwaas oo qaadi doona qalab milatari iyo shaqaalaha Imaaraadka ee ku sugnaa caasimadda. Diyaaradahan ayaa u kala qaybsami doona labo qaadi doona ilaalada safaaradda iyo shaqaale ajaaniib ah oo howlo farsamo iyo amni ka hayay Muqdisho, halka labada kalena ay daabuli doonaan agab milatari oo horay Imaaraadku u keenay dalka.
Imaaraadka ayaa shalay Muqdisho soo galiyay qalab milatari oo uu ka keenay Jubbaland maadaama uusan jirin duulimaad toos ah oo u dhexeeya Kismaajo iyo Dubai taas oo keentay in marka hore Muqdisho ka keeno ka dibna loo qaado dalka Imaaraadka.
Dalkaan ku yaalla Khaliijka ayaa sidoo kale markab xamuul qalabkiisa uga daadguraystay magaaladda Bosaso.
Shaqaalaha Tower-ka Garoonka Aadan Cadde ayaa horey loogu wargeliyay imaanshaha iyo jadwalka duulimaadyadan, waxaana la xaqiijiyay in diyaaraduhu ka duuli doonaan Terminal-ka 23aad oo ah kan tooska ah, islamarkaana aan la marsiin doonin aagga rakaabka rayidka.
Wararka ayaa sidoo kale sheegaya in maanta ay DFS iyo Imaaraadka ku kala aragti duwanaadeen habraaca la raacayo, iyadoo Dowladda Federaalka ay ku adkaysatay in la baaro qalabka iyo shaqaalaha baxaya si waafaqsan sharciga iyo nidaamka amniga qaranka.
Si kastaba ha ahaatee, dhex-dhexaadinta ay samaysay dowladda Itoobiya ayaa keentay in lagu heshiiyo in duulimaadyadu si gaar ah uga baxaan Terminal-ka milatariga, iyadoo aan la marin baaritaannada caadiga ah ee rayidka.
Tallaabadan ayaa muujinaysa in Imaaraadka Carabta maanta si buuxda ugu guurayo Muqdisho, islamarkaana uu soo gabagabaynayo joogitaankiisii milatari iyo amni ee caasimadda, kaddib go’aankii Dowladda Federaalka Soomaaliya ku burisay heshiisyadii labada dhinac horey u wada galeen.
Guuritaankan ayaa lagu tilmaamay mid ka mid ah isbeddellada siyaasadeed iyo amni ee ugu waa weyn ee ka dhacay xiriirka Soomaaliya iyo Imaaraadka bilihii u dambeeyay.

Thursday 15 jun 2026 {HMC} -Somalia’s Disaster Management Commissioner on Tuesday opened a high-level humanitarian meeting in Mogadishu, bringing together government institutions and international agencies to address the country’s worsening drought and food insecurity crisis.
Mahamud Moallim Abdulle, Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), called for swift, data-driven decisions to save lives and strengthen coordination between authorities and humanitarian partners.
“We need urgent, evidence-based decisions rather than broad plans to protect vulnerable communities and prevent this crisis from worsening,” Commissioner Moallim said, stressing that outcomes from the meeting would directly influence drought mitigation efforts and the protection of Somali lives.
Discussions focused on identifying the most at-risk areas facing Emergency (IPC Phase 4) conditions, developing a costed emergency response plan with clear roles and responsibilities, and reinforcing ongoing interventions to curb further deterioration. The meeting comes after one of the driest October–December rainy seasons on record, driven by La Niña conditions, which has left an estimated 4.61 million people affected by prolonged drought nationwide.
The crisis is further compounded by funding shortfalls, as Somalia’s 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan was only 26 percent funded by the end of December, forcing humanitarian agencies to scale back assistance despite rapidly growing needs.

Thursday 15 jun 2026 {HMC} The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Salim Aliyow Ibrow, has led a high-level delegation on an official visit to the headquarters of the Confederation of Public Servants Trade Unions (MEMUR-SEN) in Turkey. The primary objective of this significant diplomatic engagement is to formally activate and implement the comprehensive cooperation agreement originally signed in 2016 between the Ministries of Labor of Turkey and Somalia.
During the visit, Minister Ibrow held extensive discussions with the leadership of MEMUR-SEN, Turkey’s largest confederation of public servants. The talks focused on the practical mechanisms required to translate the provisions of the 2016 accord into tangible outcomes that benefit workers in both nations. This initiative represents a renewed commitment to the bilateral partnership, seeking to leverage Turkey’s extensive experience in labor organization, social security, and civil servant rights to bolster Somalia’s developing labor institutions.
The activation of this agreement is expected to facilitate knowledge exchange, capacity-building programs, and technical assistance. By strengthening ties with MEMUR-SEN, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs aims to modernize Somalia’s administrative frameworks and enhance the welfare of its public sector workforce. This collaboration highlights the enduring and strategic relationship between Mogadishu and Ankara, which continues to expand across various sectors including infrastructure, defense, and now, institutional development and social affairs.
