Sunday November 30, 2025 {HMC} The Governor of Banaadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), who chaired the weekly meeting, urged district administrations of the capital to accelerate efforts to maintain the city’s cleanliness and aesthetics, support ongoing security initiatives, and prepare for the upcoming Banaadir Regional Council elections set to take place in Mogadishu.
Mayor Dr. Muungaab underscored the importance of mobilizing and coordinating communities as part of preparations for the Local Council Elections, encouraging citizens and security agencies to work closely together in safeguarding security and preventing acts that threaten public safety.
The meeting also reviewed measures to enhance financial transparency in line with the policy of “Community Witnessed Finance.”
The session was attended by the Deputy Governors for Administration and Finance, the Secretary-General of the Banaadir Regional Administration, directors, and district commissioners of the capital.
