Thusday 11, Sep 2025 {HMC  Somali officials have strongly condemned Israeli aggression in Qatar and have held meetings to bolster diplomatic relations with both Qatar and Oman. The diplomatic activities, which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, focused on solidarity, economic cooperation, and trade.

A Somali delegation, including the Consul General in Jeddah, Dr. Abdul Ali Hersi Abdulle, and the Acting Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Abdurahim Osman Elmi, visited the Qatar Consulate in Jeddah. They were received by the Acting Consul, Mr. Mubarak Naimi. The delegation conveyed Somalia’s strong condemnation of Israeli attacks in Qatar, which targeted civilians and were described as a violation of international law. They also expressed solidarity with the people of Qatar. In response, the Acting Consul of Qatar expressed gratitude for Somalia’s support and also condemned the Israeli aggression.

Following the meeting at the Qatari Consulate, the Somali delegation also visited the Omani Consulate in Jeddah. The discussions with Omani officials focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in areas of trade, investment, and economic cooperation, with a specific interest in Somalia’s natural resources.

Thusday 11, Sep 2025 {HMC  Police in Galdogob district, Mudug region, have arrested a man accused of killing his wife in a case that has shocked the local community.

Authorities said the suspect, identified as Farah Hassan Aden, allegedly killed his wife, Samsam Mohamed Hashi, following a domestic dispute. Relatives told local media the incident stemmed from tensions between the couple.

The Mudug regional police command confirmed the incident occurred in Galdogob town and said officers responded swiftly to the killing, which sparked widespread panic among residents.

“The Mudug regional police force, especially at the Galdogob district station, has arrested the suspect Farah Hassan Aden, who is accused of killing the late Samsam Mohamed Hashi, his wife. He will be brought before the competent court,” the police command said in a statement.

The suspect is currently being held at the Galdogob police station pending trial.

Samsam Mohamed, a mother of seven, leaves behind a grieving family and a community reeling from the tragedy.

Thusday 11, Sep 2025 {HMC  The Puntland Ministry of Justice has suspended all temporary notaries operating in the regional capital, Garowe, citing non-compliance with a newly enacted Notary Law.

In an official letter dated 10 September 2025 and signed by Director General Maryan Mohamed Abshir, the ministry ordered the immediate suspension of services provided by temporary notaries who have not yet fulfilled the requirements set out under the new legislation.

However, some of the affected notaries criticized the decision, telling HOL the ministry was acting “illegally” and using the law to sideline independent notaries from the market.
