Talaado, 2 Dec, 2025 {HMC} Jemal Beker, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the United Arab Emirates, today presented his letters of credence to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, during an official ceremony at Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace.
Ambassador Jemal conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Taye Atske Selassie and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to the President, the Government, and the brotherly people of the United Arab Emirates.
Ambassador Jemal also took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
During the handover ceremony, the Ambassador reaffirmed Ethiopia’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations across key sectors.
H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan warmly received the Letters of Credence and extended his best wishes to Ambassador Jemal for a successful tenure. The UAE President underscored the importance his country attaches to its relations with Ethiopia.
The President further reiterated the UAE’s continued support for Ethiopia’s development, prosperity, and its leading role in advancing regional peace and integration initiatives.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador emal expressed his profound honour at the gracious reception accorded to him and pledged to work closely with UAE authorities to elevate bilateral relations to even greater heights.
